SO BLESSED!!

Hey y'all. well just some funny things...... so this week we went to this investigator's house... and guess what... they are watching "i am legend" with the chinese subtitles. wow. it has been a long time since i have seen that movie. and wow. crazy. haha. ps. i didn't watch it just so you all know (: haha

Also. funny, a lot of days we have just random stuff for dinner... like the other day we had sweet potatoes...... and steamed bread and green bean soup and a candy bar. ya, i don't know if that is healthy. but i don't know what i am going to do without sevens and family marts on every corner to get this stuff. ha.

Also! this week i have been studying about prayers... and faith and God's will..... i just really want to make my prayers better and my mom sent me this page about Enos and his story...it was so cool, because it just put it in 5 easy steps....i always seem to really like the applicable steps... of you want a goal..... but how are you going to do it? like the steps here... can be done 1. receive gospel truths 2. let them sink into your heart (ponder) 3. have a desire! 4. obey the commandments 5. endure the trial, it is gonna take time and its not going to be easy
and thats it! you will get an answer to your prayer, and you will be prepared to receive it and act on it! (:

Our investigators are doing good, over the past weeks that i have been here we have found....23 new investigators..... its just sad that most of the time... they don't end up progressing, and we have to drop them. but! well, right now we have some really solid ones. not a lot. but the ones we have are pretty good. we are trying to focus on setting baptismal dates, the first time we meet with them. because when you have a goal in mind... and they know where this is all going... it is so much bettter. we have this really awesome kid... his name is Cai DiXiong, he is sooo cool. he just turned 18 and we meet with him at least twice a week. I know he can make a december baptism. its just that he needs to come to church! we don't know what his concern is...... we know he has time.... there is something holding him back... today we are really going to try to rely on the spirit to help him overcome that concern.... other than that, he has been reading and praying and he loves it!!! the other day he asked if he could come..... well "chuanjiao" with us.... just like do missionary work with us... haha! we were like... sure of course you can!! but, well you need to come to church first.... haha, but he is great, he is already seeing the blessings in his life and is having a desire to share it with others. so cool. he really wants to be baptized and get the gift of the holy ghost. haha, he loves when we do analogies or draw something. but ya, we have some other miracles, but here is just one!

We are going to have a thanksgiving ward activity on thursday! i am super excited... and somehow the missionaries are like the head people for doing it because we know all about thanksgiving and no one else does... hahaha, super funny! we are making mashed potatoes and gravy and they are going to get turkey and hopefully we can find someone to make us some yummy pie or buy one from costco! (: haha

On Friday, November 28, the Church will begin a worldwide initiative for the Christmas season. Titled “He Is the Gift,” the initiative is built around the truth that the first gift of Christmas came from a loving Heavenly Father to His children with the birth of Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son. The initiative invites people to discover the first gift of Christmas, to embrace the gift by becoming more like Jesus Christ, and to share the gift with those around them.

Foundation
“Christmas is a time of reflection on what we can become because of God’s sacred gift. As we discover the gift, we learn of the immeasurable love of God and our absolute need for a Savior. As we embrace the gift, we strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ, and desire to become more like Him. As we share the gift, we follow in the Master’s footsteps, who invited all to hear His message” (Elder Russell M. Nelson, December 2014Ensign).

Framework
Help your missionaries apply the following framework in their daily missionary efforts:

·  Help others discover the gift by speaking with as many people as possible each day about God’s love and the sacred gift of Jesus Christ.
·  Help others embrace the gift by inviting them to learn more about the restored gospel, leading to their increased faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
·  Help others share the gift by asking them to invite their family and friends to meet with you to learn more of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Initiative Components
·  He Is the Gift video presented in 20 languages: [including Chinese]
·  Extensive worldwide Internet and social media promotion.
·  Promotion at select visitors’ centers.
·  New York City (Times Square) promotion.
·  Christmas.mormon.org in the 20 languages listed above.

Using the Initiative in Missionary Work
The ultimate objective of the initiative is to find, teach, baptize, and retain an increasing number of God’s children. There isn’t a more exciting and natural time than the Christmas season to testify of Jesus Christ and to invite all to learn more of His teachings and salvation. Invite your missionaries to use this inspired Christmas initiative to help the people of your mission discoverembrace, and share the greatest gift that has ever been given to the world.

HELLO PEOPLE :) LONG TIME NO EMAIL...:)

some miracles for the week!!!!
1. our amazing investigator .... his name is Cai DX, he is 17 years old, and he is so cool. we met him at english class... and he was just wearing these sweet leather boots and we were just like hey, can we talk to you about christ, and he was like sure... and he said that he was going to come to the baptism that sunday.... anyways.... hou lai, he didn't come but thats ok..... hou lai... we meet with him 2 times a week, and he is so legit! He loves analogies and it really helps him understand what we are talking about... he doesn't have a christian background at all.... he loves the feeling of the chapel, and so he is always asking why we don't have more activities. haha, also. he is in the third year in high schoool. that is the most intense, busiest of all times for any taiwanese student, but he makes time to pray and read the book of mormon... he is awesome, he read like 48 pages in.... and then started over to review and make sure that he got it. so sweet! haha, anyways... we were reading with him in 1 nephi 8 about lehi's dream and i pull this picture out that i had drawn of it. he loved it so much i drew him a personal one with it all in chinese, he loved it. haha (: yay! keep you updated on him.... tentitavely set a baptismal date for december 21st but he has school on sunday so we will have to see if he can ever make it to church (:
2. we meet with this LA every single week.... she is so awesome, she is a return missionary.....she went to byu hawaii... but we think that she has a lot of guilt from not being married and having two kids.... and she also has just told us that she is lazy so she doesn't want to do those things like come to church...... and wow. it was a miracle. this past week when we met with her.... she told us to follow up with her about prayer... so i hestitantly brought up... hey how is praying going and she was like really good! and i was like... wow, really? and she said that she had even started the book of mormon over again and was in 1 nephi 5.... noticing things that she hadn't seen before.... and marking it all up and recording the revelation that she had received.... and while yesterday she didn't make it for church she came right after and brought her la little sister and her kid and ate lunch with all of us after church. wow. never would i have thought that it would happen that fast. it was a complete turn around.
it just gives me hope.
everyone has their own time.

i know it has been a long time.... sorry. if you want to know what i am up to my mom puts stuff up on my blog every week if you don't get an email

love youuu allll. thanks for all your support. keep being awesome. (: do those things that will bring you real happiness and peace... in this life and in the life to come... (:(: read, pray, church, fhe, temple (:

2 POSTS THIS WEEK AND PICS!!

Hey mommy thanks so much the pictures!!!! i am soooo soooo soooo sooooo jealous you have snow. like seriously. so funny haha, we are just riding our bikes here and maybe the wind is a little more.... windy. ha, anyways....... at stop lights we always talk to people and they just look at us like we are crazy because maybe we have a cardigan on... but no coat and they are all bundled up in their full on winter gear like you guys.... and ha, it is always a conversation starter. haha, i always say... well im from america... and right now they have snow, so this is really ok, haha, they love that.

so glad that kody is doing so good on his games! i am cheering on!!!! i know that they can get state champs!!! that'll be sooo cool, this year its gonna, happen, send me a picture with the trophy, i want to put it with the one i have of kody and his rugby trophy (:(:

This week, has been really great. One thing that was really cool was that we got to go on exchanges. I always love learning from other missionaries and it was really cool. I got to stay in ZhuNan and while I feel like I really don't know the area that well. We didn't get lost... we saw so many miracles. We got to meet with so many investigators. We got another baptismal date with a new investigator that... it was our first time meeting with her. She was just a potential. We had originally set up with another investigator... an hour before she cancelled... we just decided to keep our peike and just drop by this potential's house. Well, we drop by, and she was there and it was perfect timing... She said that she felt like she had no goals/ purpose in life, that she is sad, and needs some help. She needs God. We got to share plan of salvation with her, and we invited her for the December 20th, she said... if we work hard together then yes. We promised blessings and said that we would all work hard together, gave her the Book of Mormon to read from and taught her how to pray. She loves prayer, she thinks it will really help her, I know it will!!

thanks for the email, this week, it was a really good one (; it helped so much. know that there are miracles going on here. so many, and i wish i could write them all.... i will keep replying to this email next week love youuuu (:(:

KEEP PRAYING FOR MIRACLES!

i know it is like 3 in the morning right now for you (: but today we got to the temple so it is our pday.... it is wednesday for us. so i am sorry i didn't tell you that we couldn't email on monday.... this is my first time going to the temple for temple days because i was in hualian before and it was too far away, now that i have moved we get to go... so i didn't know that our pday changed too. but just so you know i got your package!! (:(: i love it so much! so happy (:(: haha, i am going to make myself some mashed potatoes tomorrow (:(: yum! but ya, so today i got to go to the temple, it was so amazing, i tried to prepare myself and really focus to get some revelation. it was really cool. we got to do endowments first then we got to do like 10 names of initiatory and part of it was in chinese so that was really cool (: one of our ward members from hualian was working in the temple today!! it was so cool, she got to help me with part of the initiatory and ya! when i saw her i just ran and gave her this big hug because i feel she is like my grandma (: she is the best! haha, so it was good. and it is always a special experience to go to the temple... (: love. it. ha. oh man, everyone please pray for sister anderson, she hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days so we have been taking it easy, poor thing :( it must be the worst to be sick on your mission because you feel so guilty trying to sleep and feel better, i am trying my best to comfort and help her! but ya, ha a funny thing that happened this past week was..... we were knocking... and we found this old lady... and they always say...i am buddhist... i am not christian, our religions are different..... anyways... we were just talking to her about forever families and she invited us in, and her husband came out and he was like come in, come in, so we got to have a lesson with them, they think that christianity is good and prayer is good because their oldest son is also christian and when he visits he prays with them. so that was cool! we set up a time to come back and bam. 2 new investigators! and then... as we were about to leave... they were like have you eaten yet... and we said that we hadn't we were just about to go... and they were like wait wait wait. we will take you out... so we go to this pretty nice hot pot place and they pay for it. and we just have a party. that was soo fun, and afterwards, they were just like you call us grandma and grandpa. and i was like ok! oh man, they were so worried about our safety and were telling us which road to get out and everything. it was really cool. haha, kinda reminded me of alma and amulek... you know... alma goes back to the city of ammoniha and then he meets amulek and amulek is just like, i will feed you and be your investigator... and then i will be your companion. so cool huh? i love that. also, we had a cool opportunity in zone meeting on tuesday... oh well, i guess that was yesterday.. our zone meeting started and then... guess who walks in? president day! crazy, i just turn to sister anderson and im just like is this normal, and she was just like, this has never happened before... haha. so anyways, he was just like i don't know why i am here, but he felt impressed to come and train us a little. we need to work smarter and with the spirit. we can't do things mechanically even though it is hard, because with chinese, we usually have like a way we like to say things, and thats.... correct grammar... haha, so we really are going back to the basics. being completely obedient. and using preach my gospel to its fullest. because it is really amazing. almost kinda like a smart phone. but, if we only use it like an old brick nokia... (those are the ones we have in our mission) haha. then we are not using it to its fullest capacity. so that is what i am going to try and focus on (:(: it is exciting, and also scary. i sometimes don't know if i can do it. sometimes it is hard to follow the spirit. sometimes it is hard to know exactly what to say. but i guess part of it is just practice. one thing that i remember from this week was that we were knocking doors and this college aged-girl came to the door, and while we were talking, i felt impressed to promise her that through this gospel her life wouldn't become smoother, but that she would have extra power to accomplish the things she needed to do. it was cool, i have never said that before to anyone. it was definitely a moment i didn't go into auto control. so thats cool (: haha
i love you all so much! thanks for the pictures, i love to see them all! so excited that kody won!!!! when is state? do you know who you are going to play? (: i love you all so much, you all look so cute in your halloween outfits, good job lacey with your band concert! how did hunting go dad? what are you up to mom?
