I don't even know where to start.

umm, 

This week was good (: We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Gong from the asia area presidency, i think............haha guess what?? More than half the world's population lives in the asia area! Wow.  so many people to share the gospel with!!

OK!!! breaking news!!! remember.... our golden investigator from about..... the middle of january. Sister Zheng, Cindy ... well. she came to church this past week in taibei!!! We have been trying to get a hold of her because during the chinese new year she went AWOL, kinda crazy. she missed her baptismal date and everything! So we decided to give her to the missionaries in taibei because she spends more time there.....And guess what? my mini misisonary emailed me this week and said that she had showed up in her ward in taibei!! wow!!! so exciting!! she is going to get baptized really soon! wow!

SISTER LAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, so cool! She is so great, and she is getting baptized on saturday!! So happyy!! She is the funniest little lady ever. One time i was trying to call the district leader to say that we were home on time, but i accidently called someone else, because it was a taiwanese woman on the other side... and i was like, oh sorry, called the wrong number. and she was just like, nope it is me. my last name is lai. haha! and i was like, oh hey. (: she is so cute, because we bring members to her house for the lessons and we ask her to introduce herself and she just says... oh, my last name is lai. and she is always so confused when we ask her to say more. haha!

Another small miracle was searching through and organizing our former investigator records.... we found Lai JieMei's record finally! It is so exciting to look at the old yellow record and see what the missionaries were teaching her, what her reactions were, 4 years ago! They wrote on the record under "former status" please call them, they need the gospel. As I sat there looking at our former investigators, I realized that all of them were souls, and that they all had the potential for baptism. That through formers we can find, teach and baptize! Then retain and reactivate. So cool. The area book is really a miracle book. It is filled with so many people and information that, has reason. We don't just write records to do it, they actually have meaning. It was just a cool small experience. It is the best that we can tape that record to her new one. No effort is wasted.

we wanted a picture with her after she passed her baptismal interview and she wouldn't smile! I was like, Lai JM, smile! and finally she did, sweet (: She is the best. I brought a skirt for her to wear at church today, she loved it, today we are going to look around for some members who might have some extra skirts to give her before her baptism! (:(:

So pretty much all we have been doing is visiting Lai JM, it takes about 25 minutes uphill to bike to her house... it use to take longer... but we are getting really fit (: haha

So there it is. so happy. (:

We got a sweet 6.6 earthquake this week (: but its ok. i slept through it (: haha. we are just so tired every single night because. did you know? "jilong is known for its birds and its hills" (:(:-sister price (little shout out to you!) so we are biking up those hills. its not so bad back down. just the up. it is killer.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just have like a few miracles to tell you.

1. the former that we met a couple weeks ago... the one at mcdonalds... well we have been visiting her a lot and she is really progressing towards her baptismal date May 2nd!!!!!! wow!!!! she has gotten so many cool experiences, i know that God's hand is in this journey. She got to come to a baptism, then she got to come to sunday morning and afternoon sessions of conference, she got to come to church yesterday. oh 

PS> I GOT TO GIVE A TALK IN CHURCH YES> IT WAS 12 MINUTES> WOW!!!! SO EXCITING THAT PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND ME AND GET SOMETHING OUT OF MY TALK (:

anyway... her name is Lai Qiao Ling (Sister Lai) heehee (:

she is so funny. she is just a quirky little lady that just loves Christ. and i love that, she just looks at you, and her eyes get big and she just like, who knows, i could be a missionary like you someday. haha (: love her!!!

i will get pics of her to send for next week. she is great. you need to see her. haha.

2. also. yesterday we were out... in our area... not anywhere near our house and we didn't want to waste time to go back and get food..... so we just called these members. and i was like, hey sister li..... ummm, i hope you are doing good, we are just kinda near your house... just wondering if you were eating and if we could come, maybe, sometime, to eat with you, and she was like, when? and i was like, maybe in like 30 minutes or something........and she starts like laughing (she was actually sleeping when i called) so she got up really fast and starting making food. we got there. it was done. it was delicious. it was a miracle. they are great. seriously. be the missionary's best friend. because that is what members are. haha (:(: also, fyi that was the first time i have ever done that, we like to give them more time than 45 minutes to prepare (: haha!

ON THE BRINK OF MANGO SEASON

If I can just say like one thing. I don't think anyone's missions turns out like you think. or what you expect. 

so expect the unexpected. but always expect MIRACLES>

Two weeks ago.... while at the McDonalds we were talking with someone about the because he lives video and this lady comes up to us so excited to see us! She just said that she was sitting there looking at us and thought, I should go talk to them. First she had the courage to come up to us, and we had the amazing moment to have just a quick lesson with her. She was talking about Sister Mao (a sister back from like 2013)... She is actually a former! We set up with her and go to her house, she still remembers so much, and i even saw a "No other success can compensate for failure in the home" sticker on her lamp. Of course, we checked to make sure that she wasn't a secret less active, and got to teach her about baptism. She is so excited for her baptismal date of May 2nd! And Sister Tate and I are so excited too! Within this past week she has gotten to attend a baptism, and come to both sessions of Sunday conference! Coming to church she was able to see people that she recognized and meet lots of good new friends! It is really exciting to see. Her prayers are so sincere, and it just goes to show that no effort is wasted. The earlier efforts of those sisters weren't, and she just needed her time, in her prayer she told God that now is her time. Before she wasn't ready, but now she is. Her name is Sister Lai and she is so funny. and cute. I will send a pic next week. She is just so excited, and I don't know what else to say other than, God loves us, Loves her. loves this ward and HE HAS A PLAN.

Another huge miracle was with our less active Lu JM. She has not been to church since she was baptized 4 years ago. She came to Saturday afternoon session of conference and Sunday afternoon session, it was so happy. We met with her after each session and she was so happy that she came. She made a good friend, and really did get a lot of revelation. We also learned a lot about her. We are really coming to understand her concerns, on a different level. We are just trying to help her rely on Christ and not the missionaries. 

AND ALSO WE HAD CONFERENCE. SO GOOD. SOO GOOD. SOOO GOOD> just watch it. I just can't. 

AND PLEASE. Practice the music. 

YOU KNOW THE PEOPLE WHO WERE DANCING LOOKING STRANGE AND PECULIAR TO THOSE WHO DID NOT HEAR THE MUSIC. LETS SHARE THE MUSIC OF THE GOSPEL WITH EVERYONE.

In Chinese gospel is 福音 (fuyin) which directly translates into the blessed and good music.

and that is what it is. 

and it is simple. 

just pray, read, church, follow the commandments. boom. safe.

we do service at the hospital that i stayed at with sister price, we took a card to the nurses and candy to them. they are so great. they have the hardest job ever.

got to go to taibei to do temple tours and got to meet up with my mini missionary sister ji!!! we got lizhi ice (: yum.

we colored eggs in english class. they loved it. (:(: so fun!!

HAPPY HAPPY EASTER!!! 復活節快樂!

I just love Chinese. Because it just makes sense. Like Easter. Is 復活節(fu huo jie) which means the day of celebrating resurrection. Like how simple is that. So easy. Especially when you want to teach people about Jesus and His resurrection. (:

So that is what we have been doing, watching that video with everyone! On the streets, in their homes and at church activities, and english class (: yay!

I love it. Brings the spirit so much. And it is so true.

Well, this week was much better, and it went so fast! WOW! I really think a huge blessing came from the trainer/trainee follow up meeting. I really think that it gave us some good perspective about working smarter, not harder. Focusing on not setting unrealistic expectations for ourselves. And really just stressing ourselves out. We refocused our goals, so we don't have so many and we just have the important ones. Once we get those then we can move on to new ones! It is really exciting, Sister Tate and I are working well together. And while I feel like we "chilled out" a little bit, our numbers actually went up! It is so exciting to see that there is wisdom in all things, and we can't do it ourselves. It really is God directing the work and all we have to do is our best, and be obedient. I think our prayers have also become more sincere and our desire is to be completely obedient. And that as we have done that, we have seen so many blessings. It really is exciting!

Some miracles that we were able to see was from our less actives, well not only this week, but all transfer long! We have been seeing this potential melchezideck priesthood holder come to sacrament for the 5th or 6th week in a row! Haha, I lost track! He is just always there! It is so exciting to see him make relationships with the members and I know that as we continue working with him we can help him become a strong priesthood holder. His name is Li Guo Long and he got up in sacrament meeting to bear his testimony, and all i had to do was smile. Because it was crazy. But the basic message was through Christ we can do all things. Haha and that's good (:

So exciting to see that when we listen to the spirit, the miracles that can come, we were riding our bikes and I saw a person on the side of the road... we kept riding, I waved and said hi, but as we went past, I kept getting this feeling like, go back. and so I fought it until we got to the next light and then, i was just like, ok we need to go back. Sister Tate was so supportive and she was like, ok. So we went back. And gave the guy the card, he was at work, and he didn't have time, and he walked away. But we  walked back to our bikes and there was another guy standing there, and we got to watch the video with him. So cool. He has met missionaries before, but he didn't have time. Got his number, great potential. But as we continued to talk with him.... There was a car accident on the other side of the street and this guy fell off his motorcycle and rolled. We heard the smack. It wasn't serious. But we knew that we needed to help him! We finally got to the other side of the street and found him, not seriously injured but bleeding, so we grabbed our water bottle and tissues and got him all cleaned up. Sitting there we talked with him and calmed him down, watched the video with him, had a lesson and taught about Christ. He said the most heartfelt prayer, thanking God for protecting him. He said that it really was Shen de anpai that we got to meet. So special. He is our new investigator. So exciting, especially because at the beginning of meeting him, he was just trying to brush it off like.... i am fine, i don't need your help. But then he let us help him, and at the end he was smiling. Cool to see the small change in people's demeanor. (:

sorry this email isn't as fun (: haha!!!

ok, one thing everyone has been cleaning graves this week. idk. but they are busy. just a small fact. one time per year, you go and clean your family graves. sweet. haha. 

but just know. good things. are happening. and i am feeling fine (: thanks for all your concerns (: haha

i found this sweet spider outside. i don't know what it is. but it was huge and cool. and eating a fly that it had caught in it's web. sweeeeet.

this sweet buddhist lady that we found while riding our bikes. i was so sweaty and so i was just stopped waiting for sister tate to come up the hill and starting talking to her. and she gave us bread, and we said a prayer for her and then she tried to give us money, and we were like nope!!! haha (:
